- Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle including discovery, technical design, defining scope with Product Managers, prototyping, implementing, testing, rollout, and maintaining performance of critical features of Zendesk.
- Deliver enterprise grade software and experience some of the challenges presented working at a global scale, working on both existing and new product features.
- Champion code ownership, standard methodologies, high quality code with corresponding test coverage, to ensure reliability and stability are kept front-of-mind.
- Sharing your knowledge of engineering with the rest of the team, our peers in our organization, and the company.
- 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience with strong capabilities in modern frontend tech stacks (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and consuming APIs).
- Adept at turning wireframes and mockups into HTML / CSS, with a solid understanding of Sketch / Figma or other design software.
- Comfortable using Git & Github.
- Collaborative approach to working with others.
- 1+ years using/understanding REST principles to help drive better, more usable API designs.
- 1+ years developing server-side applications (Ruby / Node.js / Golang, or equivalent).
- We build our frontend applications in React and TypeScript.
- We often work with backend applications and APIs in Ruby/Rails.
- For our Developer Experience, we use technologies such as; Yeoman, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, and Kubernetes.
